Custom officials seize 700g gold at Jaipur airport | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Officials from custom department on Wednesday night seized 700 gram gold worth Rs 43.12 lakh from a passenger coming from Bangkok at Jaipur International Airport.
“On Wednesday at Jaipur Airport, two women passengers coming from Bangkok to Jaipur via flight no. FD130 were intercepted, and a detailed interrogation resulted in recovery of two cylindrical shape of gold, one each of 350 grams, from both passengers concealed in the rectum,” said officials from the custom department.
Officials said that the smuggled gold that was recovered has been seized under the provisions of Customs Act, 1962 and further investigation is underway.
