Jaipur: The 20-year-old man accused of killing a Dalit girl in Karauli along with his father carried the body in a plastic bag on a bike for 5 km and then threw it into a well, to make it look like a suicide.
Karauli SP Mamta Gupta told TOI on Sunday that Golu Meena and his father Amar Singh Meena went looking for a well in which to dump the body. “It has been found that on July 13 after killing the girl, Golu Meena called his father to the spot. Both packed the body in a plastic sack and decided to dump it in a well to mislead the investigation,” she said.
A senior officer of Balghat police station who is part of the investigation said that the girl wanted to elope with Golu Meena but he wanted to be rid of her.
Both father and son have been remanded by court into police custody till July 19.
