Delhi Court: Defamation Case: Gehlot Moves Court In Delhi | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday filed an appeal before an additional sessions court in Delhi against the summons issued to him by a magisterial court in Delhi in the criminal defamation case filed by Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat against him.
The matter is likely to come up for hearing in the additional sessions court on Tuesday. Gehlot was summoned by the magisterial court on August 7 over Shekhawat’s complaint against remarks made by him alleging that the Union minister was involved in a “scam” in the Sanjeevani cooperative credit society. The case is related to thousands of investors allegedly being duped of about Rs 900 crore by the society.
Shekhawat alleged in his complaint before the metropolitan magistrate that Gehlot had been making defamatory remarks against him in a bid to to tarnish his image. TNN
