Protest: Demands Not Heard By Cm, Cong Mla Shaves Head In Protest | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Congress MLA from Sangod Bharat Singh Kundanpur has shaved his head and offered his hair to chief minister Ashok Gehlot as a mark of protest that his demands have not been heard by the CM.
In a letter to Gehlot, Singh said, “You openly supported Bhaya’s (state minister Pramod Bhaya) corruption. Khan ki Jhopriya village was not included in Kota district. This does not suit Gandhian Ashok Gehlot. Your honour is dead. I am getting my head shaven and offering my hair to you. Please accept this humble gift. Remember Mahatma Gandhi and reflect on the seven sins mentioned by him. This post of chief minister is not permanent.”
Talking to TOI over the phone, Singh said that if the CM comes to Kota on September 13, he would offer his hair to him at the airport and will never grow hair as a reminder to CM Gehlot.
“I am shaving my head as a symbolic protest. Some issues were put before Gehlot for a long time. Our CM is a known Gandhian. He has done excellent work as CM. Many times I drew his attention to important issues but his compulsion was that he had given protection to some corrupt people by not paying attention to those issues,” Singh said.
“Those who rule may face many compulsions. But the CM talks of Gandhian ideology. Gandhi ji’s entire life was based on truth. I have been telling the CM that his honour is dead. It is in our culture that when someone dies, those related to him get their head tonsured. I have seen the CM’s honour dying. That’s why I got my head shaved,” he said.
