Senior Resident Docs Threaten To Shun Work, Sms Warns Of Action | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Medical College has warned that senior resident doctors joining protest of private hospitals and resident doctors against Right to Health (RTH) Bill will face action and their services will be terminated.
The notice was issued by SMS Medical College on Wednesday after learning that the senior residents are joining the protest of private hospitals and government medical college resident doctors against the RTH Bill and the alleged police action against the doctors at Statue Circle in past two days.
A senior SMS Medical College official said, “Notice has been issued for the senior resident doctors asking them to continue their work in the hospitals attached to SMS Medical College.”
In the order, the SMS Medical College has mentioned that at the time of joining as senior resident, they had signed a pledge not to take part in any strike, boycott of work and not to involve in other such activities.
An agreement was signed in which it was mentioned that without serving any notice their service will be terminated if they found violating the pledge. Despite of signing the pledge at the time of joining, the senior resident doctors had submitted a notice to the SMS Medical College of boycotting work on Wednesday which comes under the category of violating the condition of the agreement.
