Jaipur: The State Human Rights Commission(SHRC), while disposing of a suo motu petition on the obscene act in front of the Maharani College, directed the director-general of police to direct district superintendents to ensure mobile police patrol parties comprising a woman cop at educational institutions in the morning and closing time to avoid such incidents in future.
The commission said, as per the records made available, the police had filed an FIR and investigated case and on confirming the charges had prepared the chargesheet in the case.
The commission said the SHOs had to ensure to register the name of the police personnel sent for patrol in the daily records so that responsibility could be fixed.
It said in case of any complaints of harassment, immediately FIRs had to be filed and investigated. Police also had to maintain liaison with educational institutes to avert any untoward incident.
