Dholpur: Dacoits Fleeing After Robbery Fire At Dholpur Police, 3 Held | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: A gang of six dacoits fired at the Dholpur police when they were fleeing after robbing Rs 5 lakh from a bank in Morena in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police (Dholpur) Dharmendra Singh said that three of the six dacoits were admitted into a hospital, and three others fled the secne.
As per the district police, the gang barged into a bank in neighbouring Morena at around 3 pm.
They fired one round from a desi katta (country-made weapon), before fleeing on fleeing with Rs 5 lakh.
The district police set up an intensive checking operation at pickets at different locations, including on the inter-state borders with Uttar Pradesh.
As per Singh, a team led by deputy SP (DSP) Deepak Khandelwal, and two station house officers (SHO) undertook a search operation. The police also informed villagers about the movement of dacoits and asked them to report any suspicious activities. The accused had ditched their getaway bike and snatched a villager’s bike. “The accused saw nakabandi (pickets) alongside the UP borders, so they turned backed towards the Rajasthan border,” said an official.
Near Radhe ka Pura village under the Mania police station area, the accused fired on a police party there. The police team quickly galvanised and returned fire at the dacoits.
