Jaipur: The school education department will monitor infrastructure development at government schools digitally.
Naveen Jain, secretary for school education, said that technical, administrative, and financial approvals of civil works and issue of work orders will be monitored on a real time basis as per the prescribed timeline through software.
“To complete all kinds of construction works in government schools of the state under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in a time-bound manner, a mechanism will be prepared for their digital monitoring. Officers must prepare a software for this, which will give instant feedback about the progress of the works going on in the field and its other stages like payment on completion. This will also ensure transparency and quality of the works,” said Jain.
He also directed officials to form a committee at the level of the school education council to coordinate the preparation of digital application by July 31.
It was informed in the meeting that in the current financial year, under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, 78 schools from primary to upper primary level will be upgraded in the state, 332 additional classrooms in schools up to eighth grade will be constructed. TNN
