Dip in daily infections as Rajasthan logs 14,000 Covid-19 cases | Jaipur News

Jaipur, too, witnessed a dip with 2,823 cases. The active cases continued to rise as the state now has 2,12,753 active cases. Though 13,270 people got discharged from various hospitals in the state, the bed and ICU availability remained chaotic.

TOI on Friday visited RUHS and found that at least100 ambulances were waiting outside to get admissions. “We have been working on full capacity. As we get discharges we take new admissions,” said Dr Ajeet Singh, superintendent, RUHS.
Meanwhile, health minister Raghu Sharma urged the Covid-dedicated centres across the state to enhance their facilities. “Various in-charges of different units in these Covid care centres should keep visiting the wards to see the arrangements. A dedicated area must be created where patient can be checked to determine whether he needs a bed or is fit for home isolation,” Sharma added.
Jaipur witnessed 58 deaths which took its total toll to 1,457. Also, the number of active cases increased to 51,487 in the city. Majority of the private and government hospitals in Jaipur are full and have stopped taking fresh admissions. RUHS is full to its capacity while other private hospitals have no beds vacant.
