Do Target-based Work To Boost Earnings: Transport Secretary | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The principal secretary of transport department during a review meeting on Wednesday asked all officials to work on a monthly target-based manner for collecting revenue for the department.
In the meeting, the revenue figures of the department were reviewed. While reviewing the revenue earnings of the transport department, the principal secretary said that the transport officers do not pay attention to revenue collection in the initial months.
“RTOs should monitor which DTO is behind. Officials need to work in a manner which improves the image of the transport department. If a common man speaks his mind, then listen to it and find a solution. Officials must also run a two-week campaign to check all 82 fitness centres in the state,” said Anand Kumar, principal secretary for transport department.
The secretary said that every inspector will have to work the whole month and not in turns of 15-days. He instructed all the RTOs that the performance of each flying squad should be reviewed daily.
“If two transport inspectors are engaged in a flying squad, then only one does the work. A transport inspector works only for 15 days in a month in such squads. It will not work in this way. RTOs must review the performance of each flying squad on a daily basis,” added Kumar. TNN
