JAIPUR: ACB DG BL Soni on Tuesday urged people not to show mercy for government officers arrested in corruption cases.
Soni was addressing a public awareness programme organised by the traders association at Sriganganagar.
“It is seen that many a times when we arrest corrupt officers, people become sympathetic towards them. I will urge everyone who face corruption in any of their legitimate work should come forward and complaint it to us,” Soni added.
He added that public servant gets salary and other benefits and he is bound to do all the legitimate work related to passing of bills, issuing of any certificate, issuing land deeds and other government documents.
“Despite getting salary and other benefits, if some government officers and employees are still into corruption, they should be punished by law,” he added.
During the awareness programme, Soni also replied to queries made by the traders association of Sriganganagar.
