Dotasra: Gehlot-Pilot feud: AICC ‘stays’ Dotasra’s list of 85 PCC secys | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The feud between Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot has stalled a list of 85 PCC secretaries announced by state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra. The AICC Thursday “stayed” the list declared on May 27 – days before it held a Delhi truce meet with Gehlot.

Gehlot-Pilot feud

Dotasra admitted that the list was released without Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s approval but with the nod of state AICC in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.
Posting the list of new secretaries on Twitter, Dotasra said Randhawa has approved the list of 85 secretaries of the PCC on May 27 in addition to the previously formed PCC on January 6, 2021.
However, the list became controversial after many objected to the appointments. Sources said most leaders of the Gehlot camp found a place in the list. The Pilot group took up the matter with AICC, forcing the stay. The list is likely to be revised as it has been alleged that many “undeserving leaders” were included. The list includes Vijender Singh Sidhu, brother of Randhawa’s personal assistant. None of the MLAs made the cut. Pilot objected to the list as it did not have proper representation of his supporters, sources said.
Dotasra sent list to Randhawa
State Congress workers had long waited for the appointments after Randhawa took over from Ajay Maken in December 2022. Sources close to Dotasra claimed he was not to blame, saying he had sent list to Randhawa who, instead of getting it approved at the top, cleared it without party chief Kharge’s consent.
