Double Engine Government: ‘double Engine Govt Lost Fuel In One Engine In Mp’ | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday said that in Madhya Pradesh, where the double-engine government functioned, fuel was exhausted in one engine and lying idle for a long time.
Puncturing the BJP slogan of a ‘double engine government’, Priyanka said Shivraj Singh Chauhan government has given just 21 jobs in the last three years while the Congress government created 2 lakh government jobs in Rajasthan comparing the Congress government with BJP government in the neighbouring state.
“It is a sad situation that the state government which has been in power for the past 18 years, is such a poor job creator,” she said.
Addressing a public meeting at Shahpura in Jaipur district, Priyanka said the country is facing record unemployment and price rise. “The poor and middle class have no say in the affairs of the country while big businesses flourished.”
Priyanka said the prime minister claimed credit for everything good but never bothered to share the difficulty of the people. She asked why the prime minister did not visit Manipur where untold misery was inflicted on the people there.
The Congress leader said PM Modi reached the cricket World Cup final on Sunday. The Indian team had a successful stint at the World Cup and Modi reached there to take some credit but unfortunately, the team was defeated.
She said Modi invited the wrestlers to his residence when they won medals at the international level but did not listen to them when they were agitating against the sexual assault charge against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a few kilometre from his residence in Delhi, for months together.
The Congress leader alleged that no one is there to listen to the people under the Modi dispensation while big industrialists are thriving at people’s expense.
Attacking the BJP she said Modi claims to be a ‘fakir’ but in the 10 years of his rule, BJP has become the richest party in the world and BJP leaders thrived.
