Already, reports say, the group of 5 havelis that comprise the Patwa Haveli complex have become a centre of attraction for tourists.Guman Chand Patwa, a jewellery and brokerage businessman, in 1805 had built these havelis. It is said that it took about 60 years for their construction.
The arches and gateways of the havelis have distinct features that distinguish them from each other, along with a different style of mirror work and paintings in each haveli. The murals in the havelis are exquisitely designed, and there are intricate carvings and paintings on the jharokas, arches, balconies, entrances and walls.
