Employee: Axed employee sends two gunmen to extort from manager, 2 held | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Filled with rage after losing his job at a trading company, a 26-year-old man sent men who pointed firearms at his former boss to demand extortion.
SHO (Chitrakoot) Balbeer Singh Kaswan said that police Saturday arrested the prime accused Gopal Singh alias Gajju a resident of Jhunjhunu district, and his aide Bhanu Singh (27) a resident of Nagaur.
He explained that Gopal had been employed at a trading company in Jaipur but was terminated by his manager on the grounds of “indiscipline.”
This left him angry with the company’s bosses and determined to teach them a lesson they would never forget. “He enlisted the help of a second suspect, the story that he told his accomplice was that one of his bosses was very wealthy and they could reap a windfall by threatening him,” Kaswan said.
On Thursday, while Gopal remained seated in the car, Bhanu confronted the manager outside a gym. The accused brandished a pistol and instructed the victim to accompany them into a car.
Once the manager got into the vehicle, the accused informed him that they had been sent by their mob boss to extort money. The manager was terrified and inquired about the amount he needed to pay, offering up to Rs 25,000. The accused ridiculed him for offering such a small sum.
The accused then mentioned that they had been instructed to collect extortion money from two other managers of the same company as well.
“The manager reported the incident to the Chitrakoot police station. We formed multiple teams that reviewed footage from over a dozen CCTVs to identify the suspects,” Kaswan said.
