Encroachments removed in Ramganj market by JMC-Heritage | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: The vigilance wing of JMC-Heritage on Monday took action to remove temporary encroachments from the verandahs of Ramganj market. Deputy commissioner, vigilance Neelkamal Meena said that operators of hotels and dhabas in Ramangaj market had encroached upon the verandahs by placing stoves, utensils, tables and chairs.
“A team from the vigilance wing of the corporation took action to remove the temporary encroachment on Monday afternoon. The team removed furnaces, stoves, cylinders and other goods from Ramganj Chaupar till Badi Chaupar and from Ramganj Chaupar till Ghat Gate. A tractor and six trucks were also seized. During the action, some persons gathered in a crowd and protested the action,” said the deputy commissioner.
On Sunday, the Ramganj Bazaar Jan Sangharsh Samiti while interacting with media said that several restaurants and dhabas in the market had encroached upon the main roads, blocking them, and causing traffic snarls.
Residents said that the restaurants had not just encroached upon the roads but there is also heavy smoke and pollution from these places as they cook on the roads.
