Jaipur: A 22-year-old man from Bhiwani in Haryana who was living with his aunt was beaten to death allegedly by at least 18 persons late on Wednesday evening in Bharvana village of Hanumangarh district.
Mandeep’s uncle, who lives in Bhiwani, lodged an FIR alleging that the in-laws of the woman were responsible for the murder. Police said a murder case has been lodged against Meva Singh, his wife, Vijendra, Sonu Devi, Krishna, Raj Bala, Mohan Lal, Surta, and 8 to 10 unidentified persons. He alleged that the man was killed over suspicion of having “illicit relations” with the married woman.
“The victim, identified as Mandeep, was living at Sherda village under Bhirani police station area. He was allegedly having an affair with a married woman. A few times the locals and the in-laws of the woman had asked him to stay away,” said an officer of Gogamedi police station. TNN
