Extinction Event: Biker Dies As Drunk Cops, Phed Staff In Pvt Vehicle Hit Him | Jaipur News

JAISALMER: Three inebriated policemen, a PHED employee and another friend in a private vehicle hit a biker on Monday night, resulting in his death under Khudi police station area. The deceased identified as Prithvi Singh (28), had got married only two months ago. After the incident, Prithvi’s kin who were following him in another vehicle chased the accused and managed to get hold of three including two policemen. They were handed over to Khudi police. Two persons, including one policeman managed to escape.
SP Vikas Sangwan, on receiving information sent deputy superintendent of police and Khudi police station officer to the spot and ordered an investigation.
The deceased’s relative Gopal Singh told TOI that Prithvi, a resident of Khudi, was travelling from Dhoba village towards Khudi on his motorcycle when the vehicle hit him from front, resulting in instant death. Gopal Singh and other relatives who were following Prithvi in another vehicle saw the incident.
Police personnel stopped their vehicle and tried to take Prithvi in their car. However, Prithvi’s relatives reached the spot and stopped the accused from taking away his body. He alleged that the policemen were drunk. They have been identified as Jeevana Ram, Chaina Ram, and Sambhudan, while the PHED employee Tanerao Singh was driving the car. There was also a fifth person with them.
SP Sangwan said that this is a grave matter, and investigation is underway. He added that three policemen in civil dress were sitting in a private vehicle when the accident took place. One of them is posted at Khudi police station, while another at Jhinjhinyali police station. Police is interrogating them. Sangwan added that if they are found guilty, strict action will be taken against them.
