Farhan Akhtar’s live performance steals the show at a Jaipur college fest | Jaipur News
Bollywood actor, singer and film maker Farhan Akhtar recently performed at Poornima University‘s annual sports and cultural fest Lakshya 2023. As he entered the stage with the song ‘Mere Yaar Suno Suno’ song, there was a wave of enthusiasm among the students. This was followed by stellar renditions of famous songs including ‘Tarkeebein’, ‘Rock On’, ‘Hawan Karenge’, ‘Main Aisa Kyun Hoon’, ‘Ye Zindagi’, ‘Senorita’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and ‘Zinda’ etc. He made students dance and enjoy and musical gig for hours.
The three-day fest witnessed several activities promoting students skills in sports as well as cultural fields. The fest was organized in closed convention format, under which students were given an opportunity to stay in the university campus for three consecutive days and join its various activities. On day one, chief guest Col Rajyavardhan Rathore unveiled the winner and runner-up trophies of the Lakshya Fest. He said that whatever we do in life, do it with all your heart, you will definitely get success. Sharing his journey from his army career to sports and politics, he told the students that he entered politics with the aim of doing something good for the country. Pritam Kumar, chair of student council informed about the activities of the fest. Rahul Singhi, co-founder, Dr Manoj Gupta, Dr Chandni Kriplani, and Dr Rakesh Gupta were also present on the occasion. The inauguration was followed by a live performance by Priya Andrews and Sanam Band. Sanam Band made the students dance by performing many new and old songs in their own special style.
The second day of the fest saw sportsmanship and fierce competition among the students to win various games. Various rounds of cricket, kabaddi, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, carrom, chess, and box cricket were held throughout the day. Despite the tiredness of these day-long competitions, the students looked more excited in the DJ night. Not only the students but faculty members also enjoyed the live performance of DJ Shadow, DJ Olly Esse and DJ Sartek. On the last day of the fest, the actor Nani visited the Poornima University campus to promote his upcoming Telugu film ‘Dasara’.
