Fintech Park: Guv Forwards Citizen’s Letter To Gehlot Over Dol Ke Badh |

Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra has forwarded the letter by the concerned citizens, including noted social activist Aruna Roy and Kavita Srivastava, demanding the shifting of FINTECH Park from Dol ke Badh area in Jaipur to CM Ashok Gehlot on Friday. The Citizens of Jaipur on Wednesday shot a letter to the governor seeking his intervention in immediately stopping the bulldozing of the green space which houses rich flora and fauna.
“We are shocked that bulldozers for the last month have been devastating the biodiversity of Dol Ke Badh, in the name of making roads for the upcoming FINTECH Park at Taron ki Khoont,” reads the letter by the citizens.
Underlining the importance of forest area, the letter argues that ‘the prayer for stopping bulldozers and the making of the FINETECH Park is to protect the rich avian fauna and flora. To further protect the already fragile ecology of our city to ensure fresh air for the people of Jaipur city.’ “Further, shifting of the FINTECH Park project is not going to impact the industrial development of the state as the land belongs to RIICO which is a state-owned company,” said Srivastava.
MP Sultanpur Menaka Gandhi in a letter to the chief secretary Usha Sharma says that Rajasthan has very few forests and so much other land that can be used for factories. “It takes decades for a forest to grow and a week to cut it down. But where do the animals and birds go then? There is no greater Punya (wise work) than the preservation of a forest. Please do consider this urgent as trees are being cut as I write.”
