Food Safety: Adulterated Food Items Destroyed | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Food Safety and Drug Control Commissionerate (FSDCC), Rajasthan, conducted raids in the past seven days and destroyed adulterated sweets, milk, and substandard food items.
The food safety officers collected samples of food items and sent them to laboratory for testing.
On Saturday, the food safety officers of the central team conducted an inspection in village – Devan Tehsil – Shahpura Jaipur seized about 660kg of contaminated and adulterated kalakand, out of which 658kg kalakand was destroyed on the spot, while rest of two kilogram was collected for samples under FSSA Act 2006, for quality check.
Officials said that the shopkeeper was allegedly preparing to sell adulterated kalakand in the festive season. Appropriate action will be taken if found adulterated. TNN
