Former Dgp Passes Away At City Hosp | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Rajendra Shekhar, a 1957-batch officer of Indian Police Service (IPS), died here on Monday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. He worked in different capacities in Rajasthan police and CBI including its director general of police (DGP) and director, respectively. His last rites were performed at Aadarsh Nagar situated cremation ground in presence of many retired and in service police officers.
CBI too has condoled the death of its former chief. During Shekhar’s 14-year stint at the CBI, the Rajasthan cadre officer dealt with high-profile cases like Bofors and the murder of former Army chief General A K Vaidya (Retd) and Nirankari Baba. tnn
