Gangster Laden produced in Alwar court amid tight security | Jaipur News
ALWAR: Taking a cue from Prayagraj incident in which two gangsters were killed, the Alwar police produced gangster Vikram Gurjar alias Laden at two courts in Alwar amid tight security.
Also, the gangster was made to wear a bullet-proof jacket and a helmet since an attack on him had taken place on January 5 in which he had a narrow escape.
Behror police brought Vikram amidst tight security and he was made to wear bullet proof jacket and a helmet.
“At least six different cases are lodged against Vikram and for the past some time he had no dates for the court and did not appear and was in jail. This time the court had summoned him with an arrest warrant and the police brought him to two different local courts in Behror,” said a senior police officer.
Public prosecutor Jitendra Sharma said that in various cases Vikram was not brought to the court in previous instances, thus police on Friday produced him amidst tight security.
“He was sent to judicial custody for 14 days,” he added.
Senior police officers maintained that Laden also have some rivalry with other gangs, including of Papala Gurjar of Haryana and thus they did not want to take the risk.
“He was given a bullet proof jacket and a helmet to wear. Our men in plain cloths and armed policemen were already deployed in and around the court,” said a senior police officer.
