Gehlot Slips At Home, Injures Feet; Docs Advise Week’s Rest | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday injured his feet after slipping in his official residence in the evening.
The chief minister in a tweet said ” Today, after a meeting, while going to my room at the residence, both the toes were injured due to slipping. I have come to my residence after preliminary treatment at SMS hospital. Due to the fracture I will continue working from home for a few days on the advice of doctors. Thank you for your best wishes.”
Official sources said the chief minister suffered a hairline fracture in his left toe and the nail of his right toe has come off. The chief minister had held a meeting and while walking towards the drawing room, his legs got entangled on the carpet, which caused him to fall.
The CM was rushed to SMS hospital where he was seated in a wheelchair by SMS medical college principal Dr Rajeev Bagarhatta.
Doctors put on a plaster on the fractured left foot and dressed the injured right foot after stitches and given pain relievers.
Dr Rajeev Bagarhatta said the chief minister was advised seven days of rest and his injuries will be reviewed after a week.
