Girl’s Body Found In Desolate Plot, Probe On As Police Suspect Murder | Jaipur News
Jaipur: An unidentified girl was found murdered with one of her arms twisted inside a secluded plot of land in Surjpura near Ring Road under the Sanganer Sadar police station area on Sunday.
ACP (Chaksu) Ajay Kumar Sharma said that the girl’s identity could not be established. The incident came to light when someone reported to police that a body was lying inside a plot. Police teams swarmed the area and a forensic team reached the scene.
Senior scientific officer of FSL Abhay Pratap Singh said that the cause of death could be strangulation, but nothing could be ascertained immediately. “It appears that she was murdered elsewhere and her body was moved here,” Singh said, adding that teams also found injuries on her body. Police belive that the victim was probably 19-year-old.
“One of her arms was broken and twisted,” Singh added. He said that all primary evidence hints at the growing possibility that when the accused attacked the girl, a struggle ensued in which she sustained injuries. He also said that she has some wounds which are reflective of being attacked by a sharp object.
The police said that a post-mortem report (PMR) would shed more light on how the victim was murdered they were facing challenges in their search for the killer due to the lack of available CCTV footage, which hindered their efforts to identify the culprit.
A team of station staff combed nearby vacant plots and the main road to find clues about the murder but did not find any significant leads.
Another team was questioning people around highway eateries to see if they had seen any suspicious vehicles. All police stations have also been told to provide details about the girl and her photo was widely shared.
