Gogamedi: Gogamedi’s Killers Were Sent To Jaipur In Advance, Carried Out Recce In City |

Jaipur: Ahead of the brazen murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the two gunmen, Nitin Fauji and Rohit Singh Rathore, were discreetly sent to Jaipur well in advance by their handlers to acclimate them to the local terrain.
Speaking to TOI, a senior official said that a preliminary investigation showed that while the accused shot dead Gogamedi on Tuesday, they were moving about the city before that. The sources also pointed out that sophisticated pistols used in the murder were also procured in advance to swiftly fire and flee.
In another development, a video message purportedly from the slain gangster Anandpal Singh’s daughter Chinnu emerged on social media on Friday evening where she refuted media reports that she was allegedly involved in the fatal attack on Gogamedi.
Singh was shot dead in a police shootout back in 2017, and she said that Gogamedi always supported her family. “I am surprised that certain officials were dragging my father’s name without any investigation, I want those officials to probe the case and not indulge in politics. Just like cases were lodged against my father out of political vendetta, I have been subjected to a similar ordeal,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan police said that they are yet to investigate to corroborate her role in the murder. “The two shooters are on the run, unless they are arrested we cannot say anything at this particular juncture. We have many theories but cannot confirm them yet,” said a senior official.
The high-profile murder and escape of the two shooters amidst a heavy security cordon has left the state police in a bind, as they had assured the public of arresting the two accused in 72 hours when the family, along with several people, protested on Wednesday.
A special investigation team (SIT) with 11 officials was formed by Director General of Police Umesh Mishra to investigate the case, and the task is cut out for them to track down the shooters before the new government takes oath and to control the law and order situation.
Even as Rs 5 lakh each on the information leading to the arrest of the two shooters has been announced, no breakthrough has been made till now. Gogamedi’s mortal remains were cremated in Hanumangarh district on Thursday.
