Jaipur: SMS Medical College has issued directions to its attached hospitals to give priority to blood from government blood banks for transfusion to patients. The decision has been taken to ensure the quality of the blood transfused to patients. An SMS Hospital official said that orders have been issued for blood transfusion to patients admitted to hospitals attached to SMS medical college. In case of blood brought from private blood centres, its quality must be checked, the order says. TNN
