Government School: Govt School Teachers Want Execution Of Amended Rules | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The government schoolteachers’ association has written to chief secretary Usha Sharma to take special permission from the election commission to implement the amended rules approved by the state cabinet.
Earlier this month, the state cabinet approved amendments to the Rajasthan Educational (State and Subordinate) Service Rules, 2021, which paved the way for promotion of around 50,000 teachers and appointment of teachers in schools for specially abled children.
“By amending the Rajasthan Educational (State and Subordinate) Service Rules, 2021, the government provided relaxation in the promotions to teachers who studied different subjects in their UG and PG courses. With this amendment, promotions of vice-principal to principal will be possible, which was not taking place till now. The orders were passed, but by the time the final order for implementing the rule could be passed, the model code of conduct was implemented,” said Vipin Sharma, senior vice-president of Rajasthan Primary and Secondary Education Teachers’ Association.
The teachers said a three-member committee has been formed to review such requests by different departments and make a list that will be sent to the election commission for approval.

A study has recommended amending the Special Marriage Act, 1954 in order to allow marriages to be solemnized through video conferencing. The report also suggests that marriage certificates issued under the act should include photos of the bride and groom. The registration department has raised concerns about the practicalities of online marriages, such as the lack of signatures and independent witnesses. The study also recommends enabling citizens to check for encumbrances or attachments on a property before registering it.
