Government: Separate Protests Announced By Factions Of Nurses | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Two factions of nursing associations have planned two different protests against the government. One faction is planning to hold a rally on Wednesday while the second intends to organise mass leave and gather at the city’s Ramlila Maidan on August 25.
The nurses have been agitating for more than three months now, over an 11-point list of demands. These demands encompass salary hikes, additional job positions, and alterations to their uniforms.
The faction that is planning to organise mass leave on August 25 held a meeting with health department officials on Tuesday but it yielded no outcome.
“We are going on mass leave on August 25. Our meeting with the officials has ended without any conclusion. We have booked Ramlila Maidan for August 25, where nurses from across the state will gather,” said Narendra Shekhawat, who was part of the meeting with health department officials.
Chandrakant Sharma, leader of the other faction represented by Rajasthan Nurses Sangharsh Samiti, said, “We will take out a rally on Wednesday to attract the government’s attention.” TNN
