Govt: Govt Plans 7-8 Mega Job Fairs In A Month | Jaipur News
Jaipur: In order to achieve the target of creating 1.5 lakh employment through Rajasthan mega job fairs by September, the skill, employment and entrepreneurship department is planning to scale up the number of fairs organised per month apart from organising job fairs at the block level.
Secretary of the department P C Kishan said that they need to organize at least 7 to 8 mega job fairs, instead of 3-4, per month to create at least 1.2 lakh job fairs by September. So far, out of 1.2 lakh interviewed, 33,804 candidates have been offered jobs in 11 mega job fairs, according to data received from the department.
In all, 3.39 lakh candidates have registered themselves for 11 mega job fairs, it stated.
“We need to organise more job fairs (per month). At present, we are organising 3 to 4 mega job fairs per month. We need to organise 7 to 8 mega job fairs per month. We will have to pull up our socks. We will reach up to 1,20,000 jobs. 1.5 lakh is very ambitious, but we will try,” said Kishan.
“We have an agreement with Ernst & Young for technical support. We will have to ask for more technical support in terms of manpower. Necessary budget has been sanctioned by the finance department. We will also have to scale up deployment of our own manpower. We should have the capacity to organise simultaneous job fairs. In some cases, we should organise such job fairs at the block-level too.
