Jaisalmer: Barmer SP Deepak Bhargava has transferred Sheo SHO to police line on awaiting posting order (APO) and suspended two police personnel of Bhiyad police check-post for tampering with the registration number of a bus in the First Information Report (FIR). The bus, prohibited by Jaipur RTO, had hit a car at Rajbera village in Sheo on August 4. Two persons had died and two were seriously injured in the accident.
Police said the owner of the bus involved in the accident in connivance with police changed the bus number and was still operating it despite the ban by Jaipur RTO. The fitness of the bus ended on July 2. After the accident the bus number RJ 19PB5069 was parked at Bhiyad check post and instead of mentioning the actual number in the FIR, the number written was RJ19PB3087.
Following a complaint that the bus number had been changed, SP Bhargava had ordered an investigation, which revealed the involvement of Sheo SHO Hansaram, head constable Ranjeet Singh and constable Sonaram of Bhiyaad check post in tampering with evidence.
