Jaisalmer: Barmer police busted an interstate gang stealing items of passengers in Rajasthan buses and arrested an accused from Haryana.
Barmer SP Digant Anand said a team was formed which led to the arrest of one Bita, a resident of Hansi, Haryana.
He said on February 23, Manohar Singh of Barmer district reported that he and his wife were travelling in a private bus from Chauhatan Chowraha to Ratredi and thieves stole their silver and gold jewellery from the suitcase. A case was lodged and an investigation was started. The team started searching for the accused and on checking CCTV footage and information from informers, cops detained Bita .
During investigation, he accepted to committing the crime with his colleagues.
