Jaipur: A 10-year-old girl was reportedly raped by a man who was living as a live-in partner with her mother in a village under the Ranoli police station area of Sikar. The incident came to light three days later when the girl’s mother filed a case with the police. Currently, the accused is on the run, prompting authorities to assign a deputy superintendent of police to investigate the case. According to the police, the mother stated in her FIR that on June 8, while she was away, the accused, identified as Mukesh Bhopa, allegedly raped her daughter.
“The woman mentioned that she had some trust in the accused since he was living with the family as a live-in partner. However, taking advantage of the situation, the accused committed the heinous act. Upon the mother’s return, the girl tearfully narrated her ordeal, and the accused swiftly fled from the house. The mother immediately took her daughter to the hospital for medical attention. Three days after the incident, the woman lodged a rape case,” said a senior officer at the Ranoli police station. The woman revealed that she works as a daily wage laborer following her husband’s death, and the accused, showing sympathy, began living with them. tnn
