Cattle Owners: Up To ₹500 To Cattle Owners For Artificial Insemination | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The state government has sanctioned a budget of Rs 36 crore for monetary incentives to 25 lakh cattle owners for artificial insemination of their animals. A budget of Rs 16.75 crore is expected to be utilised this year (financial year 2023-24) with the target of artificially inseminating 5 lakh animals.
CM Ashok Gehlot had announced this scheme in the annual budget for this year. The animal husbandry department will implement the scheme for owners of cows and buffaloes, who can get up to Rs 500 per artificial insemination.
Phase-4 of the national artificial insemination programme (NAIP IV) set a grant of Rs 675 for a single dose of artificial insemination from August last year till July this year.

Baby croc spotted in artificial tank
A baby crocodile was spotted in an artificial tank in Navlakhi compound in Vadodara, Gujarat. Volunteers from the Gujarat Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) and the fire brigade were called to the scene, but were unable to capture the reptile due to the depth of the tank. It is believed that the crocodile may have migrated from the tank since then. KMC readies artificial tanks for immersion
The city traffic department and Kolhapur Municipal Corporation in India have made arrangements for the eco-friendly immersion of Ganesh idols. 114 artificial immersion tanks have been set up across the city streets, and an automatic ramp has been installed at Irani quarry for quick immersion. Former corporators have also provided immersion tanks at the doorstep of devotees. Similar initiatives are being taken in other cities like Nagpur, Pune, Nashik, Vijayawada, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, and Coimbatore to prevent pollution during idol immersions.

Surat city in India will prepare 20 artificial ponds for the immersion of Ganesha idols. Twelve ponds are already operational, while bigger idols will be sent for immersion in the sea. Dumas and Hazira will be the main spots for the immersion of large idols, with cranes and boats being used for the process. The Surat Shaher Ganesh Utsav Samiti has stated that idols up to 5 feet tall will be accepted for immersion at the artificial ponds. Prohibitory orders against idols taller than 9 feet have been issued, but some larger idols have already been installed in the city.
