Illegal Liquor Racket: Owner Demolishes 4th Unit In City | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: In a rarest turn of event when officials of the Jaipur Development Authority were preparing to demolish a structure in Shivdaspura on Sunday morning, police officials reached the spot in the wee hours to find that the owner has demolished the structure himself.
This is the fourth structures connected with illegal liquor racket that has been demolished by the owner in the last three days. “On Sunday morning we were scheduled to visit the structure – used as a storage unit of illicit liquor – on Badapadampura Road in Shivdaspura village. Preparation was on full swing so that teams JDA enforcement wing and local reach the spot around 8 am and demolish the structure. However, in the wee hours local police informed us that the owner had demolished the building of its own,” said a senior JDA official.
It was on January 27 that JDA officials had issued a notice against the owner of this building.
The building was located on Plot No. 103 on Badapadampura Road in Shivdaspura. It is used as a storage facility for illicit liquor.
“Altogether we had issued notices against four structures in connection with the illicit liquor trade. In all four cases the owners had demolished the structure within the stipulated notice period and we did not have to visit spot and demolish ourselves,” said chief of the enforcement wing of JDA Raghuveer Saini.
