Smugglers Held: Three Smugglers Held With 166kg Poppy Husk In Baran | Jaipur News

Kota: Baran police arrested three persons and seized 166 kilograms of poppy husk, packed in 12 plastic bags and placed in a tractor-trolley during routine patrolling near Nipaniya village under Chhabra police station in Baran district on Tuesday.

The three accused were booked under sections of NDPS Act and would be produced before court later in the day on Wednesday.
Police patrolling squad led by Chhabra SHO, Chuttanlal arrested three persons, identified as Yograj Meena alias Bablu (26), Giriraj Meena (25), both residents of Harnawdashahaji area alongwith Vishal alias Deepak Meena of Chhabra area and seized 166 kg poppy husk, said circle Officer (CO), Chhabra, DSP Girdhar Singh Chouhan.

On noticing the police patrolling squad, one of the three accused, who was driving the tractor -trolley, attempted to take U-turn near Nipaniya village following which the police chased the tractor, he further said, adding, the three in the tractor -trolley could not reply satisfactorily on taking U turn following which, the trolley was thoroughly searched and illegal drug was found packed in 12 plastic bags, placed in the trolley. Police lodged a case under sections of NDPS Act, the DSP said.
