Indira: ₹500 Gas Scheme Named After Indira; Buffalo Included In Kamdhenu Bima | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The state government on Wednesday renamed the Rs 500 gas cylinder scheme as ‘Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme’ as per the instructions of CM Ashok Gehlot. The government also decided to include buffalo under the Kamdhenu Pashu Bima Yojana. Earlier, only two milch cows per family were included under the scheme.
Chief secretary Usha Sharma on Wednesday said the ‘inflation relief camps’ are getting “widespread public support” and that the daily registration of beneficiaries has been twice the target in the last two days. She appreciated the departments and district collectors for impeccable management of the camps and asked the district collectors to visit these camps regularly to ensure their functioning remains smooth.
Reviewing the camps through video conference at the secretariat on Wednesday, Sharma emphasized that the required label must be pasted on the Chief Minister’s Guarantee Cards being given to the beneficiaries. She also said that when the number of beneficiaries at temporary camps increases, their registration should be done at permanent camps. She directed the district collectors to set up help desks at the campsite with arrangements for refreshments and to deal with the heat.
The chief secretary asked all district collectors to pay special attention to the news published in local newspapers, on news channels and other mediums on the ongoing camps.
She asked them to resolve the issues raised in the media reports and clarify the real situation through fact checks. She also directed them to make maximum use of social media and make sure photos and videos of the camps and success stories related to them are uploaded regularly. At the review meeting, Gaurav Goyal, the secretary to the chief minister, informed that updated data on the progress and registrations of relief camps are available on the dashboard prepared by the information technology department.
