Instagram now let users add up to 5 links to bio

Instagram is introducing a new feature that enables users to add up to five links to their profile bios, similar to link-in-bio solutions offered by platforms like Linktree. This will allow users to direct their followers to external content, such as their online businesses, promoted brands, causes they support, or profiles on other social media platforms.
Zuckerberg announced in a post on his Instagram channel on Tuesday, writing, “Probably one of the most requested features we’ve had.”
Instagram allows users to add links to their Instagram profiles by accessing the “Edit profile” button above their photo grid. Although earlier users could only add a single link, now they can even add multiple links, as Instagram prompts them to do so.
If you add more than one link, Instagram will truncate the first one and indicate how many more links are available. Tapping the first link brings up a selection screen allowing users to view all the links simultaneously. So, if there are multiple links to your Instagram profile, visitors will need to click through a message that says “[first link] and 1 other” to view the complete list of links.
Instagram has said that the ability to add multiple links to a profile will be available to all types of accounts, including business and creator accounts.
Meta now also offers the option to pay for a blue badge, similar to the ones seen next to popular influencers. Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and CEO of Meta, has dubbed it “Meta Verified.”
Subscribing to Meta Verified provides users with a verified badge, increased account security, access to real customer support, and improved visibility on the platform. Meta claims that paying the monthly fee will increase the reach and visibility of users’ content and offers additional perks such as exclusive stickers and free stars, the platform’s digital currency.
