Fire Incidents: Around 100 Fire Incidents Reported In City During Diwali | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Around 100 incidents of fire were reported from various parts of the city during Diwali festivities, said officials on Tuesday.
In areas under JMC Heritage, 25 incidents of fire were reported between November 11-13, while around 70 cases were reported from areas under JMC Greater, said officials.
Officials said that fire safety equipment were stationed at major locations due to which the situation could be controlled, and no major mishap was reported.
Chief fire officer of JMC Heritage Devendra Meena said, “Around 25 reports of fire were received during the three days of Diwali festivities, however, no major incident took place, and no loss of life was reported.”
Officials from JMC Greater said that around 10 incidents of major fire were reported from the city with chemical factories, furniture shops, catching fire. tnn

Fire closes major highway in Los Angeles
A major highway near downtown Los Angeles was closed after a fire broke out in storage lots underneath it. The fire caused significant damage to the Interstate 10 overpass, with twisted guardrails and blackened concrete. The California Department of Transportation deployed personnel to assess the situation and establish detours. The fire burned through trailers and wood pallets in the storage lots but did not damage nearby commercial buildings. Over 160 firefighters from 26 companies responded to the blaze, which spread across 8 acres and damaged parked cars and a support for high-tension power lines. No injuries were reported.
