Ipl: Ats Busts ₹495cr Ipl Betting Ring, Arrests 9 | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Rajasthan ATS on Monday busted a betting racket centred on IPL matches and arrested nine people involved. ATS sleuths claimed to have unearthed betting transactions of Rs 495 crore and said they had seized several mobiles, laptops, betting software and other electronic gadgets.
According to a press release issued by the ATS, a team from Jaipur took action at two different places in Kota based on information of betting on IPL matches. Four men, identified as Shoeb, Rehan, Jameel and Abdul, all residents of Kota, were arrested from one place. ATS seized from their possession a laptop, a tablet, an LED TV, and 23 mobile phones with betting software. In this raid, the ATS said, betting transactions of nearly Rs 195 crore were unearthed by the team.
In another raid in Kota, five persons were arrested, identified as Tikam, Daksh, Vikas, Pankaj and Saransh. From their possession, 38 mobile phones with betting software, 3 laptops and other gadgets were recovered. Betting transactions of Rs 300 crore were found in this case, the ATS said.
