Student kills self after ‘bullying’ by 2 teachers | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: A 15-year-old student of a school in the city committed suicide by hanging himself at his home allegedly because two of his teachers made fun of his dialect and threatened to expel him from the school.
The deceased, Chhotu Kumar, was a resident of Sitapura under Shivdaspurapolice station and studied in the ninth class at Government Senior Secondary School at Vidhani.Police said his family found him hanging in his room on Saturday evening.
A suicide note recovered from Kumar’s pocket before autopsy at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital read, “The wish of two ma’ams will be fulfilled. They were threatening to give me transfer certificate (TC).” The body was handed over to his family after post-mortem, and a case was registered against two teachers of the school after the boy’s father, Ravindra Shah, lodged a case,” said an officer.
“The boy hanged himself using a sari on Saturday afternoon. Around 7PM, his mother went to call him, but there was no response from the room closed from inside. After calling the neighbours, the family broke the door and found Chhotu hanging. A police team reached the house and the body was brought down,” said a police officer.
Doctors searched Chhotu’s clothes before conducting autopsy and found the suicide note in his pocket. They handed over the note to Kumar’s father. Ravindra Shah said his son had been distressed as the two teachers made fun of his language. “I have lodged an FIR against both the teachers,” he said.
