Jaipur Airport: Jaipur Airport Sees Max Rise In Cisf | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Of the 10 joint venture airports across the country, Jaipur International Airport witnessed the maximum increase in deployment of CISF workforce in the past year at 55%, according to data released by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
In December 2022, the airport had 485 CISF personnel, which increased to 752 by December this year.
In the past one year, Jaipur airportalso recorded a 100% increase in number of departure gates, 50% increase in number of check-in counters, and 29% increase in X-ray baggage inspection systems (XBIS) at security check points.However, the airport did not see any change in number of immigration counters in the past one year. The airport has 26 such counters at present.
In the past five years, the number of X-ray baggage inspection systems increased by 125% at the Jaipur airport, which is the second highest increase in the country, behind only Goa airport which saw a 133% increase.
“Development work is in full swing at the airport. Major structural changes are taking place and the year 2024 will come with a lot of surprises and new facilities for our passengers,” said a senior official of the airport.
Officials said that the total passenger load last year at Jaipur airport was 4.98 million, which is likely to increase by 7%-10% year on year. The facilities are being expanded keeping this growth in mind.
