Jaipur Airport: Passengers Suffer At Jaipur Airport After Flight Diversions | Jaipur News

Jaipur: With ten flights getting diverted to Jaipur International Airport on Monday night, passengers were stranded at the airport. They complained of poor facilities at the airport and alleged that airline companies did not give any update on the rescheduled flights. Some passengers complained that they had to catch connecting flights but missed them due to poor management.
Anita Raina, a passenger who was stuck at the Jaipur International Airport on Monday, took to social media and said, “Stranded at Jaipur airport. Two flight loads but no arrangements by Air India. Diabetics, pregnant lady little kids waiting for hours. Wake up Air India, you barely have two staff looking after 400 people.”
Raina further said that after waiting for hours, passengers left for Delhi by road. “It’s midnight and our group of 12 has now left by road for Delhi, probably getting us there by 5.00am. This is ridiculous for a flight that should have reached Delhi by 7 pm the day before (Monday),” said Raina.
Another passenger said that a flight from Guwahati to Delhi, was diverted to Jaipur causing a delay of four hours in total and passengers reached the destination by 10pm.“…At least they should provide some meals. The flight was halted in Jaipur for refuelling for more than 1.5 hours, meals or snacks could have been arranged. Travellers should get a refund,” said the passenger.
Passengers travelling in a Hyderabad-Delhi flight, which was diverted to Jaipur on Monday evening, were also stranded for over 10 hours. They said that real time updates were not being given and they were made to wait without any arrangements.
On Monday, 10 Delhi bound flights including one international flight were diverted to Jaipur International Airport. Due to poor weather conditions in the national capital region and congestion at the airport, flights started getting diverted to Jaipur from Monday evening.
