Reader Of A Lawyer Dies, Another Hurt In Sikar Lawyers’ Clash | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The munshi (reader) of a lawyer died and a lawyer suffered critical injuries when two groups of lawyers clashed hours after the elections for Srimadhopur Bar Association in Sikar district on Friday.
Lawyer Dinesh Singh Shekhawat, who got elected to the post of president, and his supporters were having a party at a hotel on Ringus-Jaipur national highway on Friday night when a rival group came there and an altercation broke out.
In the fight, Shekhawat’s reader, Nand Kishore Taylor, sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to a hospital in Jaipur, where he succumbed to the injuries. Ramjilal Saini, a lawyer, sustained serious injuries in the clash.
Sources said lawyers owing allegiance to a faction led by Satyveer Gosaliya and some others had come in a Scorpio and rammed the party venue.
Heated arguments started between the two groups and soon a fight between the two factions followed. After the incident, Gosaliya and his supporters fled from the scene, said sources. The injured were rushed to hospital.
The incident has sparked resentment in the lawyers’ community in Sikar.
