Jaipur Teen Drowns In Hathni Kund In Forests Of Nahargarh | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A 19-year-old man drowned in Hathni Kund inside the forests of Nahargarh under the Brahmpuri police station area on Wednesday afternoon.
SHO (Brahmpuri) Pradeep Singh said that victim Aman Singh was a resident of Jhotwara in Jaipur. “Aman had gone to the area with his friend. His friend decided to go to a nearby temple, while he went into the kund to take a bath and died,” he said.
Singh said that the kund was about 30 feet deep.
The incident took place sometime shortly after 2.30pm. A team of civil defence also arrived at the scene. Mahendra Sevda, part of the civil defence’s rescue team, said that Aman’s body was fished out following an arduous operation that lasted for nearly 20 minutes.
“We walked four kilometres through jungles to move his body to the ambulance,” he said.
The officials said that the path to Hatni Kund is treacherous and cuts through the forest area.
“The place where the boy drowned is deep in forests. He got stuck in the water and died. His body was fished out after a difficult mission. We have informed his family members about the incident and the body was taken to a mortuary,” said an official.
This is the second drowning incident in Jaipur in four days. On Sunday, two kids drowned in Daulatpura.
