Jaisalmer: Border Sizzles As Mercury Crosses 49c | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: BSF jawans deployed at the international border adjoining Jaisalmer continue with their duties, despite mercury crossing 49C here. Apart from their duty to guard the border, the BSF has also organised camps to held the border villagers by providing medical facilities and supplying water. One can barely stand in the scorching sun for 10 minutes, but the BSF bravehearts carry on with their duties calmly. To help the jawans keep cool, the BSF has provided them with goggles, caps and water bottles. Solar coolers have been installed in several outpost towers. Sector South-BSF DIG R K Negi told TOI that jawans are given lemon water 3-4 times during the day and a duct cooling system has been installed in the barracks. tnn
