Jal Jeevan Mission: Ed Concludes Its First Round Of Raids In Alleged Jjm Graft | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A day after raids were conducted at approximately 18 locations in connection with corruption allegations within the Jal Jeevan Mission against the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) officials, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) announced the conclusion of the initial round of raids late Friday night. Sleuths of ED said that now they are analysing the incriminating documents, electronic gadgets and other papers they had received in the raids at Jaipur, Jhunjhunu and Alwar. ED on Saturday confirmed that a seizure of approximately Rs 2.03 crore of cash, along with a gold bar has also been made.
Senior officers of ED on Saturday confirmed that the raids at 18 to 20 places that were started on Friday morning were concluded late on Friday night.
“Now, we are analysing the incriminating evidence including property papers, electronic gadgets and other things to progress further in the case. The first round of raids was concluded. We will progress further as and when we get further inputs related to money laundering,” said an officer on the condition of anonymity.
ED officers refuted speculations that sleuths zeroed on senior officers of PHED. “As of now, we have made seizures of nearly Rs 2.03 crore, gold bar and documents which are being examined,” the officer added.
ED in its raids recovered incriminating documents and seized cash of crores of rupees. The places raided including residential premises of Kalyan Singh Kaviya, a property dealer, Suresh Sharma, a tehsildar at JDA, and the residential premises of PHED executive engineer Maya Lal Saini and PHED junior engineer Pradeep Kumar.
