Jal Mahal: Body Found In Jal Mahal, Suicide Suspected | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The body of a 20-year-old man was fished out from Jal Mahal Lake on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Aqueel (20), a resident of Bas Badanpura area.
“Aqueel had left his house on Friday following some arguments with the family,” assistant sub-inspector Hanuman Sahay said.
Prima facie, it is a case of suicide. A probe is underway to ascertain the cause of his death, he added.
Around 8am, some persons saw a body floating in Jal Mahal Lake. They alerted the police and the district control room. A team of civil defence swiftly rushed to the scene. They took out the body from the lake. Initially, police faced difficulties in identifying the deceased. Thus, some locals were contacted and it was learnt that a youth had gone missing from his house on Friday. They identified the body. “We spoke to Aqueel’s family and they said that a brief argument broke out on Friday. Thereafter, the deceased walked out,” Sahay said.tnn
