Jda: Jda Frees 3 Locations In City From Squatters | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Continuing its action against illegal properties and encroachments in the city, JDA on Monday conducted a demolition drive in three locations.
Encroachment was removed from eight bighas of government land, and two new illegal colonies spread across six bighas were demolished in Zone 13. Also 15 shops under construction on agricultural land were demolished, said officials.
Raghuveer Saini, JDA’s chief controller for enforcement, said illegal encroachments by locals over eight bigha of government land in Achrol village were removed. “The locals had been in illegal possession of the land for the past 50 years, for which we had sent 21 notices,” he said.
“After the encroachers’ replies to the notices were found unsatisfactory, the deputy commissioner of the zone conducted an inspection. Permission to remove the illegal encroachments was received on February 20. The cost of removing the encroachment was estimated at about Rs 8 crore,” said Saini.
Encroachments by private farms on six bighas of government land in Achrol were also removed. Officials said a petrol pump was constructed on agricultural land without JDA’s approvals. tnn
