Jhalana: Mimicry Artiste Feeds Nilgai At Jhalana Reserve, Fined | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Mimicry artist and comedian Shyam Rangeela, who became famous after imitating Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appeared at the Jhalana forest office in Jaipur on Monday and deposited a fine of Rs 11,000.
Rangeela was fined after a video of him feeding a nilgai (blue bull) in the Jhalana Leopard Reserve, in an attire like that of the PM’s jungle visit few days back, went viral on social media.
A forest official said that a notice was slapped after a video of Jhalana Leopard Reserve was uploaded on social media on April 13 where Rangeela was seebnn feeding a blue bull, which is included in Schedule-III of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
As giving food to wild animals is a violation of the provisions of Forest Act, 1953, and the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, the department penalised the artist. “This will prevent other people from indulging in such acts and will send a strong message,” said the official.
